DAY FIVE
This morning the students went to Gospel Grace for their morning session and discussion groups to study the book of James. The kids and I were going to join them after at the park, but unfortunately, Rielyn got sick. It through a wrench into our plans, but in His perfect sovereignty, it was exactly what the Lord had planned for us today. Kristine came back to the hotel and stayed with the sickie, and I took the rest of the kids to Liberty Park where the team had set up tables and were starting conversations with the people of Salt Lake City. Some people didn’t want to talk, but most, if not all of groups were able to engage with people and share the gospel!
After a 2 hour nap, some food, and water, Rielyn was feeling much better and was and was able to join us for the remainder of the day. The afternoon was spent in a similar vein, and we invited people to join us at the park in the evening for dinner and church in the park.
Around 6:30 pm, we gathered at the park to eat, sing, and listened as Pastor Will shared a short gospel presentation on “Who is Jesus?” People in the park came and heard the truth proclaimed. Pray that we would see fruit from the seeds planted today, and that people would come to church and know Christ!
After church in the park, the team went out for a Plant Camp Photo Scavenger Hunt around the city. It’ll be a later night for them, but filled with excitement and team bonding. Pray for good sleep tonight and refreshed, happy hearts tomorrow that will to serve in whatever capacity needed!
